OUR HISTORY
Pastor Stephen and Kyla Martin dreamed of launching a church with one simple goal: connecting people to Jesus and the local church. This is the Biblical pattern we see: The Church is more than just an organization; it’s a spiritual family. The vision was to build a church that was life-giving, spirit-filled, and embodies the mission of Reaching People & Building Family.
In the Fall of 2013, that vision became a reality when a committed group of local families gathered for launch team meetings in Harker Heights, TX. As the initial group continued to grow, we formally launched Vintage Church in a Cinemark Theater on January 19, 2014.
From the very first service, the life-transforming message of the Gospel, passionate worship, and a commitment to pursuing authentic relationships brought continuous growth and decisions for Christ.
After eighteen months of being a mobile church in a movie theater, we leased our first facility at I-14 and Nola Ruth in Harker Heights, TX. After twelve months, we quickly outgrew that renovated bingo hall. In February 2019, we moved into a permanent facility that serves as a launching pad for reaching more people and building future locations.
We are more enthusiastic about reaching people and building family than ever before. We believe that this is just the beginning of what God has in store for the people of Vintage Church, and we hope you join us for a service or event because there’s a place for you here.
OUR NAME
In Genesis 22, the Bible tells us the story of God’s promise to bless all the nations of the Earth through Abraham. We get a glimpse thousands of years ago of the promise God made to save and redeem us through Jesus. Over 2,000 years later, His promise was fulfilled. Even though culture changes, one thing will always remain, God’s Word.
This is where the name “Vintage Church” originates. The same Gospel promised to Abraham that came through Jesus Christ serves as the foundation of our lives. God’s Word is Vintage, just as good then as it is now.

Church membership is vital to your growth as a Christian and we make it simple and easy to understand. Membership University is an event designed to help you learn more about our history, shared purpose, values, and beliefs, as well as what it means to be a member of our church family.
As you work through the material, we encourage you to pray and ask God to speak to you about whether Vintage Church is the right fit for you and your family.
You will also learn more about how to get involved in the ministry of Vintage Church and how we come alongside you as your church family to help you develop as a mature disciple of Christ.
