WATER BAPTISMS
Water baptism is a celebration of your decision to follow Jesus and is an important step in the life of every Christian. If you’ve committed your life to Jesus and haven't been baptized, we encourage you to obey Jesus’ command to be baptized in this public profession of personal faith.
Water baptism is a sacrament in Christianity where a person is immersed in water to symbolize their repentance and commitment to following Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that water baptism is an important step in the life of every Christian and is a way to publicly profess one's faith in Jesus.
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands his followers to baptize others in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In Mark 16:16, Jesus states that those who believe and are baptized will be saved. In Romans 6:4, Paul writes that through water baptism, believers are united with Jesus in his death and resurrection, and in Colossians 2:12, it says that through baptism, believers are buried with Jesus and raised to new life.
It is important to note that water baptism is not necessary for salvation, but rather it is an outward expression of the inward transformation that has taken place in the individual's heart through faith in Jesus Christ.
