Sometimes you pray. Sometimes you read your Bible. Sometimes you go to church. You already know what a follower of Jesus is because you are one.
But what now?
What happens in this space? The one between starting your journey as a believer and finishing that journey well? Our life as a Christian can often feel like a rollercoaster ride full of ups and downs - an endless cycle of trying, failing, and trying again.
Better is a course designed to help you navigate this space.
In this eight-week course, you will learn the fundamentals of the Christian life. From the foundation you build your life on to the principles you live your life by, Better will cover it all. Everyone ends up somewhere; you can end up somewhere better.

The Better Book and Workbook are available for purchase at the Energy Bar in the Commons of your location during weekly services.
SESSION ONE
Better Starts With A Choice
Decisions. They’re hard to make. Whether it’s picking the perfect snack at a convenience store or making the right choice morally, we all have trouble making decisions at times. Fortunately, Jesus makes it easy – if it’s not right, it won’t turn out right. Only by choosing Him can we live a better life.
Complete Session One by watching the teaching video, completing the Session One Study Guide in the Better Workbook, and reading Chapter One in the Better Book.

SESSION TWO
Better isn’t in us, it’s in Jesus
What we build our life on changes everything. While it can sometimes feel great to center our life around good things, God is the only foundation that doesn’t fall apart when bad things in life come our way.
Complete Session Two by watching the teaching video, completing the Session Two Study Guide in the Better Workbook, and reading Chapter Two in the Better Book.
SESSION THREE
Spirit Empowered
Inward transformation follows outward declaration. Often, we think the solution to our sin is to ignore it and pretend it doesn’t exist, but that only makes the problem worse.
Complete Session Three by watching the teaching video, completing the Session Three Study Guide in the Better Workbook, and reading Chapter Three in the Better Book.

SESSION FOUR
Driven by Faith
What and Who we have faith in molds us into the people we eventually become, so learning to have faith in the God of the Bible is more important than ever.
Complete Session Four by watching the teaching video, completing the Session Four Study Guide in the Better Workbook, and reading Chapter Four in the Better Book.
SESSION FIVE
Better Together
Many of us have been hurt badly by past relationships and carried those wounds into our current relationships. Trusting others is hard. Loving others is hard. Forgiving others is even harder – but we can do it. Better relationships lead to a better life.
Complete Session Five by watching the teaching video, completing the Session Five Study Guide in the Better Workbook, and reading Chapter Five in the Better Book.

SESSION SIX
Moved by Vision
God’s plan is greater than our plan – and He has a plan for us. When we learn to discern His will and then live by it, our life will get better than ever before.
Complete Session Six by watching the teaching video, completing the Session Six Study Guide in the Better Workbook, and reading Chapter Six in the Better Book.
SESSION SEVEN
Better Stewards
Wake up. Go to work. Come Home. Do chores. Eat. Go to sleep. Repeat. Life can feel like an endless cycle of hustle and hurry. Only stewarding our time well and learning to rest God’s way will help us feel better.
Complete Session Seven by watching the teaching video, completing the Session Seven Study Guide in the Better Workbook, and reading Chapter Seven in the Better Book.

SESSION EIGHT
Fully Devoted
Following Jesus is the first step in a brand-new life, one characterized by whole-hearted devotion to God. The hard part? A better life starts with surrendering everything to God, and that can be harder than it looks.
