Avodah is the Ancient Hebrew word

& service.
Work - Exodus 34:21 “Six days you shall work (avodah.)”
Worship - Exodus 8:1 “This is what the LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship (avodah) me.”
Service - Joshua 24:15 “But as for me and my household, we will serve (avodah) the Lord.”
Living out our Christian faith and values in the marketplace is the purpose of this group. Avodah will serve as a business group and directory within Vintage Church that seeks to connect people, grow in faith and craft, and build up the local body.
WE BELIEVE:
1) The work we do every day matters to God and has eternal significance.
2) God expects us to bear good fruit through business.
3) God has entrusted this business to us, and it is our responsibility to be good stewards.
4) Our WORK is WORSHIP unto the Lord.

BUSINESS GROUP *
The second piece of Avodah is the business group. The business group is comprised of those who meet the criteria to be in the directory. This group meets monthly for fellowship, connection, and growth. The group will feature speakers who will teach on both spiritual and practical topics relevant to the marketplace. These speakers will include pastors, elders, business owners, members, and even guests. They will feature key elements like shout-outs, opportunities to meet new people, and encouragement to connect further outside the monthly meetings. Members of the group are allowed to bring to the group people from the community, but they must be members to join the group.
